Alastair has enjoyed extensive training and experience in both England and Germany during his dentistry career.
He was born in Empingham, Rutland, and attended Stamford School before qualifying as a dentist from the University of Birmingham.
After a year working in a dental practice in Reading, Alastair moved to Germany in 1979 and worked as an assistant before setting up his own practice in Hille, near Minden. Generous funding in Germany allowed Alastair to gain lots of experience in some of the more complicated dental treatments such as restorative and cosmetic surgery.
Throughout his career, Alastair has continued to learn by attending many courses and conferences in England and Germany.
Alastair moved back to England in 2004 and lives with his wife Cheryl and family in Rutland. He has worked in the Oadby, Leicester and Warsop, Nottinghamshire areas.
